Discussion Questions.

Please discuss the questions in any order you'd like. Numbers are just there for easier reference.

  1. If you were offered a free flight from one of the companies offering sub-orbital space tourism trips, would you take it?

  2. What is your earliest memory of space travel news?

  3. What is your earliest memory of climate change awareness?

  4. Do you think we will be able to stabilize and/or reverse climate change in your lifetime?

  5. Do you think humans will set foot on Mars in your lifetime?

  6. How is climate change impacting you personally? How is it likely to impact you, and those close to you, in the future?

  7. Do you think we will eventually move past the political polarization around climate change policy? What will it take to see this change?

  8. In the decades or centuries ahead, do you think it will be easier to colonize other planets, or fix this one?

  9. Do privately owned space companies have the public's best interests at heart? If not, what are their motivations?

  10. Was the initial race to the moon 50+ years ago fuelled more by the desire to explore and increase scientific understanding or by nationalist pride and the arms race between the USA and the Soviet Union?

  11. Is it possible that technological developments aimed at colonizing other planets will also be useful for dealing with climate change on earth?

  12.
